Research Interests
• Regulation of vascular reactive oxygen species (ROS) production in health and disease.
• The role of distinct vascular isoforms of NADPH oxidase (Nox) and increased ROS generation in the initiation and progression of vascular disorders.
• Vascular redox signaling pathways and identification of new redox targets downstream of Nox activation.
• The role of matricellular protein thrombospondin-1 (TSP1) in vascular disease.
• Interrogation of TSP1-CD47-Nox axis as a proximate promoter of macrophage and vascular parenchymal cell ROS and its role in atherosclerosis and other cardiovascular disorders.
• Lymphangiogenesisin atherosclerosis and aneurysm formation.
•Macropinocytosis in pathological processes.
