The Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) program prepares the EMT student to provide a higher level of prehospital care.
The curriculum focuses on building upon the EMT student鈥檚 existing knowledge base and provides them with the knowledge and skills to perform advanced interventions in the prehospital setting.
Competencies include:
Successful completion of the program allows students to take the National Registry of Advanced Emergency Medical Technicians AEMT certification examination and apply for Georgia licensure as an AEMT.
