Educational Leadership

The Master of Education with a major in Leadership is a fully online, performance-based program that prepares educators to assume leadership positions including assistant principal or central office staff.

Graduates of the program will be eligible for Tier I Educational Leadership certification in Georgia, upon successful completion of the GACE 311 Assessment.

Coursework

Students in 51吃瓜黑料曝料鈥檚 Master of Education with a major in Leadership with a concentration in School Administration program will complete 36 credit hours of coursework, including three hours of Tier I certification clinical residency.

The program is offered fully online and can be completed in three consecutive semesters.

51吃瓜黑料曝料鈥檚 College of Education and Human Development is a hub for educational outreach and professional learning opportunities, including the Impacting Student Learning Conference.

Required residency hours provide valuable field experience with on-site mentors overseen by supervising instructors.

The Central Savannah River Oral History Project explores changes in the area鈥檚 education system by recording the memories of those who were involved in the change. 

Online Delivery

Coursework is delivered fully online, allowing working educators to pursue academic advancement while currently employed and waive the university鈥檚 mandatory fees.

The program offers extensive opportunities to apply knowledge in real-world educational leadership settings.

Educators earning a master鈥檚 in Educational Leadership are eligible to assume school-level leadership positions below principal and district-level leadership positions that do not supervise principals.

Admissions Criteria at a Glance

GPA: Overall GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale at the Baccalaureate level calculated on all undergraduate work.

Degree Requirement: Minimum of a Bachelor鈥檚 degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university. 

Transcripts: Official transcripts are required from all universities and colleges ever attended. 

Standardized Test Requirements: None are required for this program.

Certificate: A valid, level 4 or clear, renewable Standard Professional, Advanced Professional, or Lead Professional teaching certificate, leadership certificate, service field certificate, or Life certificate must be submitted in the application portal.

The Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) Form I-20 for F-1 student status or Form DS-2019 for Exchange Visitor (J-1) Status cannot be issued by 51吃瓜黑料曝料 University for enrollment in this online program per U.S. immigration regulations.
