The Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity program gives students a solid foundation of technical skills and abilities. In our state-of-the-art labs, you will learn computer networking, programming, scripting, cloud computing, and more. Alongside these technical skills, you will learn the latest techniques for keeping data and systems safe from hackers and other threats.

 

The Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity is a validated Program of Study satisfying the requirements for CAE Cyber Defense (CAE-CD). 51吃瓜黑料曝料 is proud to be a designated in the area of Cyber Defense (CAE-CD). This designation is sponsored jointly by the National Security Agency (NSA) and several federal agencies.

 

Program-Level Learning Outcomes:

Students who graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity will be able to:

1. Analyze a problem, and identify and define the computing requirements appropriate to its solution.
2. Design, implement, and evaluate a computer-based solution to meet a given set of computing requirements in the context of the discipline.
3. Communicate effectively with a range of audiences about technical information.

5. Function effectively on teams to establish goals, plan tasks, meet deadlines, manage risk, and produce deliverables.

"My original major when I enrolled at 51吃瓜黑料曝料 was Sociology with a minor in Psychology. I was enrolled in Dr. Paul York's Introduction to Programming course and told us about a Cyber Security Summit in town. Upon attending the summit and listening to the summit speakers talk about the cyber security workforce needs, I realized this was a field I could be good in and decided to change my major. I ultimately decided to pursue the Information Technology degree with a focus in Cyber Security program. In this particular program, there were fewer math courses to take and allowed for more of a focus in cyber security-specific courses which I loved. One piece of advice I would pass along to incoming cyber security students is there is no reason you shouldn't be able to pass the Security+ certification test. Be sure to pay attention in your classes!"
