Scholarships

 

The Lillian P. and  Computer Science Scholarship Endowment

The Lillian P. and  Computer Science $2.4 million Scholarship Endowment will support tuition, as well as room and board, books, and other college fees, reducing the financial burdens associated with higher education and allowing student recipients to better focus on their studies. 

The scholarship recipient(s) will be selected by the School of Computer and Cyber Sciences Scholarship Committee with notification to the Office of Student Financial Aid for processing and awarding. The scholarship shall be open to all applicants regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, citizenship, disability, age, or veteran status, subject to 
the criteria set forth below: 

  • Recipient(s) must be enrolled in 51吃瓜黑料曝料 pursuing a degree within the School of Computer and Cyber Sciences.
  • Recipient(s) must be enrolled full-time. Preference shall be given to students who have one or more physical disabilities, demonstrate need, or based on prior academic achievement.
  • Recipient(s) selection shall be made on merit and/or financial need.
  • In the event that the above criteria are not satisfied, the scholarship may be awarded at the discretion of the School of Computer and Cyber Sciences Scholarship Committee in a manner that closely aligns with the scholarship criteria.
  • The scholarship may be used for tuition, room and board, books and/or fees

SMART Scholarship for Service

The is available for students  pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines to receive a full scholarship and guaranteed civilian employment with the Department of Defense upon graduation. 

All majors within the School of Computer and Cyber Sciences meet the degree requirements for this scholarship.

Other Eligibility Requirements.  All applicants must be:

  • a citizen of the United States, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, or United Kingdom at time of application,
  • 18 years of age or older by January 1, 2026
  • Have and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  • Be currently pursuing, or intend to pursue in fall 2025, a degree in a SMART STEM discipline
  • Be requesting between 1-5 years of degree funding. Degree funding will start in August 2025
  • Complete summer internships
  • Accept a one-for-one post graduation service commitment as a civilian employee of the Department of Defense

The SMART Scholarship-for-Service Program is different from the DoD Cyber Scholarship in that students must directly apply to the SMART Scholarship Program via the SMART web site.  The application window is open between August 1 and December 1 of each year.

Army Military Science Scholarship Program

The Department of Military Science at 51吃瓜黑料曝料 accepts applications for students to apply for two or three year scholarships throughout the year. Applications are due in February and interested applicants do not have to be enrolled in Military Science courses in order to apply. In addition to the National Scholarships, the department chair awards multiple four, three, and two-year scholarships annually to competitive, eligible students, no matter your classification.

Scholarship recipients receive the following:

  • Full tuition and fees OR $10,000 for room and board
  • Army ROTC scholarships also provide a monthly living allowance of $420/month for each school year
