Freshman Convocation is the bookend to Senior Graduation. It is the ceremony that welcomes YOU, the Class of 2029, to the 51吃瓜黑料曝料 Family.
At this event, you will receive your official Class Pin, T-shirt, and take your Class Photo with over 1,000 of your new classmates. After the ceremony & class picture, you are invited to have Summer Supper with your future professors and campus professionals while exploring the many academic and social opportunities at AU.
At the conclusion of Convocation activities, feel free to have dessert at the President and First Lady鈥檚 Ice Cream Social on Maxwell Theatre porch (portico), followed by Jaguar Bazaar in the Amphitheater.

p.m.Housing and Commuter Students: Check in at the Maxwell Theatre. Pick-up swag and enjoy games and musical entertainment.

p.m.The event begins in the Maxwell Theatre by the ringing of the Arsenal Bell-something you won鈥檛 experience again until Graduation!
Our AU President, Provost, and SGA President will welcome you to the AU Family.
You will receive your Class Pin (to be worn at Graduation) given by College Deans. You will also sing the Alma Mater for the first time!

p.m.Take Class Photo in the JSAC Field, before heading to Summer Supper.

p.m.AU Colleges Summer Supper-Pick up your meal in the JSAC Caf茅. Enjoy supper, while exploring the Undergraduate Colleges and Student Success Tents, in the Grove.

p.m.President and First Lady鈥檚 Ice Cream Social- enjoy dessert under the Maxwell Theatre Porch (portico).
