51吃瓜黑料曝料 offers two incredible programs which allows outstanding students
the opportunity to achieve their BS and Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Dental
Medicine (DMD) degree in only seven years.
In their first three years, students pursue the BS in Cell & Molecular Biology through
the Department of Biological Sciences in the College of Science and Mathematics. Then,
they begin a four-year program in medicine or dentistry through either the Medical College of Georgia (MCG) or the Dental College of Georgia (DCG)*.
Students accepted into these programs will take classes together as a cohort and participate in special opportunities for volunteering, clinical exposure, research, and more. They will experience a very robust curriculum which exceeds the basic preparatory requirements of the MD & DMD programs, and as a result, they will be prepared well to excel at the next level.
*Courses taken in the first year of the student鈥檚 respective program will be used to satisfy any remaining course requirements needed to complete the BS degree.

Students must be in their senior year of high school and applying to AU as an incoming first time freshman applicant. Students must be either a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident of the U.S. with a valid, Permanent Resident Card to be offered acceptance. Preference is given to GA residents.
The primary undergraduate admissions application must be submitted by the Early Action Deadline.

Step 1: Admissions Application
The Undergraduate application via is used for students applying to a Professional Scholars Program. The primary undergraduate admissions application must be submitted by the Early Action Deadline.
It is recommended that students select Cell & Molecular Biology as their intended major. There is not a way to indicate Professional Scholars Program in CommonApp.
Step 2: Transcripts
All high school and college transcripts should be sent electronically using an official service such as GAFutures, Parchment, National Clearinghouse, etc.

Step 3: Standardized Test Scores
Official score reports are those sent directly to 51吃瓜黑料曝料 from the testing agency. Scores should be received prior to the appropriate application deadline. The following are the Institutional Codes for 51吃瓜黑料曝料:

Students wishing to take a course with a prerequisite requirement will need to submit official AP/IB exam score reports prior to registration.
Step 4: Program Supplemental Application
Students who meet the basic eligibility requirements will be invited to complete a supplemental application for their program of choice. Access to the program鈥檚 supplemental application is accessible only through the student鈥檚 .
Students can apply to only one Professional Scholars Program.
Step 5: Letter of Recommendation
Students must submit one letter of recommendation or support to accompany their supplemental application. The letter of recommendation must be submitted directly to the Office of Admissions via the student鈥檚 AU admission鈥檚 portal by utilizing the recommender request feature of the supplemental application.
Recommendation letters submitted as part of the student鈥檚 general admissions application will not be considered during the review process for the Professional Scholars Program.
Due to the nature of the curriculum, all courses are to be taken during the fall and spring semesters of the academic year. Students enrolled in the Professional Scholars Program do not have the option to take courses out of sequence, repeat courses, or take courses at another institution during the summer.
During their first three years of the program, students must meet the following program specific criteria to matriculate into MCG or DCG:
Students must be either a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident of the U.S. with a valid, Permanent Resident Card to be offered acceptance. Preference is given to GA residents.
Students meeting these criteria will apply to MCG through as a designated combined BS-MD student and are required to complete MCG鈥檚 multiple mini-interview by December 1 of the MD application year.
Students must be either a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident of the U.S. with a valid, Permanent Resident Card to be offered acceptance. Preference is given to GA residents.
Students meeting these criteria will apply to DCG through and must document the above requirements on their application.
