Beacon Station Apartments will serve as on-campus housing for upper-class undergraduate students during the 2025-2026 academic year. Students assigned to the Beacon Station Apartments will enjoy furnished apartments that come with many amenities, along with being right across the street from the Health Sciences campus.
Beacon Station Apartments address:
Twin extra-long (XL) beds, residents share a lamp and dresser
Students have convenient access to washing machines and dryers.
In a designated area (note: you鈥檒l want to purchase your if you plan to park on-campus)

Blinds are provided for windows in apartments. Blinds may not be removed. Curtains are allowed if hung using tension rods.
Window dimensions can vary slightly from building to building so it is recommended you wait until after your move-in to measure for curtains.
Some items on the following list are specifically prohibited by law and/or University policy. Please note, students found with any of the following (and/or any other prohibited items) in their room or apartment, will be asked to remove the item and may be subject to student conduct action. Some items prohibited by law may be subject to immediate confiscation by university officials.
You are not allowed to use a U-haul truck during the move-in process.
Please do not bring any of the following:
* Approved items for hanging: High and Mighty Hooks (for drywall only), white sticky tack for posters and pictures, tension rods for curtains and storage needs, over-the-door hooks for doors, beds, etc., magnetic hooks for metal surfaces, freestanding shelving, freestanding towel or drying rack, suction cup hooks for smooth surfaces, clamp hooks and shelves. Please DO NOT hang anything from the ceiling or sprinkler system.
** Wireless routers are not allowed in University Housing. Wireless printers that communicate in the 2.4 of 5 Gigahertz (GHz) frequency are not allowed in University Housing. If a printer supports wireless communication and a wired connection, the printer is permitted only if the wireless communication is disabled.
How will I be charged for staying in Beacon Station Apartments?
You will be charged the on-campus housing rate of $3,900 per semester plus the upper-class student meal plan of $400.00. Just as with AU's residence halls, your financial aid will cover this expense.
What will my fall semester move-in look like?
You will move in on Monday, August 12 from 8:00 a.m. 鈥� 12:00 p.m. You will receive a link from AU鈥檚 Housing & Residence Life prior to move in where you will sign up for a designated time slot. AU will provide volunteers to help you move in items to your apartment.
Will the JagExpress Shuttle Service pick me up at the apartment?
Yes, the JagExpress Shuttle Service鈥檚 Gold Route will service those at the Beacon Station Apartments. All JagExpress shuttles are GPS-equipped so you can track routes and locations in real-time through the PassioGO app on your smart phone.
In the apartments, are the bedrooms assigned, or do we get to pick which bedroom we are in?
Bedrooms are assigned.
Will I have a roommate?
Yes, each bedroom will have two extra-long twin beds per room.
Are the apartment kitchens fully stocked?
Kitchens in apartments include standard refrigerator, stove, oven, and microwave. You may bring other small kitchen appliance items. You must bring kitchen essentials like silverware, dishes, pots/pans, utensils, towels, trash can, etc. There will not be a dining room table and chairs.
Can we have mini fridges in the apartments?
No, UNLESS you have an approve accommodation through Testing and Disability Services.
What is the closet storage situation?
Most apartments have a walk-in closet per bedroom, but please coordinate with your roommate to plan for the space. You can view the apartment layout plans by visiting Housing & Residence Life鈥檚 Beacon Station Apartment鈥檚 website.
What required documents do I need to have prepared or sent over to Beacon?
How will I get my apartment key?
On Monday, August 12, during your move-in time slot, you will receive one apartment key, one mailbox key and one access device that allows you into the Beacon鈥檚 parking area. You will receive these items at the Beacon Station Apartments from an AU staff member. If any or all three of these items becomes lost, damaged or is not returned upon move out, you will be responsible for replacement and/or repair costs.
Do I still need to purchase an AU Parking Permit?
Yes. All student vehicles need a permit to park on 51吃瓜黑料曝料 property, which will be applied to through the . When applying for a permit, students are asked to have license plate and payment information available to complete the transaction.
Please note that Beacon Station Apartments provides free parking for students. Please let us know whether you will have a vehicle by completing this . Security services will also regularly patrol the area to help ensure your safety.
Students who do not have their own mode of transportation can also utilize 51吃瓜黑料曝料 University鈥檚 free campus shuttle service, JagExpress. All JagExpress shuttles are GPS-equipped with trackable routes and locations in real-time through the PassioGO app.
Who do I contact if I have a maintenance request?
You contact Beacon Station Apartments for a maintenance request through their online resident portal. You will have access to this portal once you are moved in.
What is the pet policy?
We do not allow personal pets in the residence halls; however, we do allow all assistance animals. Assistance Animals (service and support animals) are defined by 51吃瓜黑料曝料 policy.
51吃瓜黑料曝料 is not responsible for the care or supervision of assistance animals. For a service animal to be approved to live within the Residence Hall, the student must first go through Testing and Disability Services. TDS can be reached at 706-737-1469 or via email tds@augusta.edu.
Are we allowed to stay in Beacon Station Apartments over Winter break?
All students with academic year contracts (undergraduate students) must leave their housing assignment no later than 24 hours after their last final exam. If you have extenuating circumstances and need on-campus housing over Winter Break, please complete the Winter Break Stay Request Form, located under "Request" in the .
Is renters insurance necessary?
It is strongly encouraged that you purchase and maintain appropriate renters insurance, as well as incident and accident insurance and personal liability insurance. Neither the Beacon Station Apartments nor 51吃瓜黑料曝料 carry insurance for a resident鈥檚 personal property and are not liable for anything stolen, lost, or damaged personal property. These details are included in your housing contract.
Who is responsible for getting renters insurance coverage?
Students/parents are responsible for getting their own renters insurance and covering the costs.
Is this the same insurance policy practice for students in other on-campus residence halls?
Yes, all students in residence halls are responsible for renters insurance as outlined in the housing contract.
What is the guest policy?
Per AU鈥檚 guest policy, you are permitted to entertain one guest. The resident extending an invitation must be present at all times during their guest鈥檚 stay. Residents assume responsibility for all their guest鈥檚 actions, damages and violations of rules. Please review AU鈥檚 guest policy for more specifics on guest restrictions, overnight guests, etc.
Please be aware, guests will not be allowed to park at the Beacon Station Apartments since they will not have a parking permit, and their vehicle will be towed.
