Closing Information

Undergraduate residence halls close at the end of Fall and Spring semesters. At the end of Fall semester, residence halls close for Winter Break and residents are required to leave while personal belongings are locked and secured in their assigned suites.

During closing meetings, RA's will provide residents with information regarding leaving the room and personal belongings during Winter Break if the resident plans on returning to the residence hall for Spring semester. Information regarding move out will also be provided if the resident does not plan on returning in the Spring.

Info by Semester

Fall Closing

Mandatory closing meetings will be held by RA's to discuss items such as vacating residence halls, leaving belongings in your assigned space, submitting Extended Stay requests, and when residence halls reopen for the Spring semester. If a resident does not plan on returning for the Spring semester, a move-out is required and students will be required to submit a Housing Cancellation Form which can be found on the Contract Cancellation page. Students not returning for the Spring semester can contact their RA or the Residence Life Coordinator to schedule a move-out.

Spring Closing

As students prepare for the Summer, mandatory closing meetings will be held prior to Spring Break to discuss items such as scheduling a move-out appointment, move-out deadline, and Extended Stay requests. If residents are planning on taking Summer classes, a summer housing application will be required and an assignment will be made. A resident taking Summer classes may be required to move out for the duration of their Summer break until their classes start.
